Carrara, member of the UNESCO Network of Creative Cities since 2017, is organizing the first edition of the “Creativity Forum” with other Italian cities in the network. The aim is to promote a space for debate on the rebirth and sustainable development of post-pandemic historic centres. Carrara intends to propose itself as a permanent model and laboratory for planning and experimenting with good practices and to develop this event among the 11 Italian creative cities: Alba, Bergamo, Parma, Biella, Carrara, Fabriano, Bologna, Pesaro, Milan, Rome and Turin.
Under the motto "Motors of urban regeneration", the forum, which will take place on 24, 25 and 26 September 2021, will bring representatives of institutions and experts in the fields of art, crafts, architecture , economics and communication, to discuss the issue of urban regeneration and the rebirth of historic centres after the pandemic, focused on the artist, know-how and creativity as a lifeline and engine of development.
