The mayors, Josep Majoral and Mireia Codina, have traveled to Igualada as part of an official visit to strengthen cultural ties on the occasion of Sant Julià de Lòria’s candidature for the UNESCO Network of Creative Cities.
They met with the president of the Igualada Association for UNESCO, Miquel Segura, at the headquarters of the Ateneu Igualadí where they watched the video made by the city on the occasion of the candidature. On behalf of the Municipality, the consuls wanted to recognize the work of the Association of Igualada by UNESCO that has accompanied Sant Julià de Lòria throughout the process of submitting the candidacy.
In Igualada City Council, the consuls have been received by the city's mayor, Marc Castells, and the Culture councillor, Pere Camps, with whom they have met to find common synergies in areas such as culture and educational.
